General Rules

1. Judging will begin at 9 am on Thursday
2. Contestants can register at Expo Show Arena bleachers at 8:15 am on Thursday.
3. Any Preble County FFA Chapter or 4-H Club member may enter.
4. A team will consist of the top four scores from the chapter/club a contestant designates.
5. Contestants can only represent one chapter/club and that must be declared at the time of registration.
6. The contest is opened to an unlimited number of contestants from each chapter/club.
7. Contestants are not permitted to handle any livestock during the event.
8. Worksheets and pencils will be used and provided.
9. The following are possible classes to be judged:
	a.  Market Steers
	b.  Breeding Heifers
	c.  Market Lambs
	d.  Breeding Sheep
	e.  Market Hogs
	f.  Breeding Gilts
	g.  Market Goats
10. Each class will consist of four animals and four questions.
11. Each contestant will be allowed 10 minutes per class.
12. There will be no talking or interactions of any kind between judging contestants during the contest; this included parents and judging coaches.
13. All parents and coaches are asked to refrain from entering the judging arena until after the contestants have been dismissed.
14. Use of electronic communication devices is prohibited.
15. Awards will be presented prior to announcing the Showman of Showmen Contest.
16. Ties will be broken using the contestants’ question scores.
